The culmination of 19 years of hard work and academic rigor occurred on December 18th, 2015. It is a day which will forever live in my mind because I will never forget how far the reality of attending college, was out of my reach in the Fall of 2008. On March 14th, 2009, I used to the only extra money my family had to apply to East Carolina University. I was initially waitlisted, largely because I had applied so late in the game. Until I received my acceptance letter that April, I seriously thought about attending community college then later transferring over. In the end after 6 wonderful years at ECU, I have earned 3 degrees along with a great group of friends and mentors. While I could go on and on about my process of attending college, the main thing I want to leave anyone who shall real this with is to never give up no matter how out of reach your dreams may appear. Even when everything seems hopeless keep dreaming and working. Everything will eventually work out. Lastly do the right thing even when no one is watching. You’ll take away a much more fruitful lessons if you do. Also if you are blessed to encounter great souls who encourage you along your path, never forget them and always show your gratitude to them whenever possible. If anyone is willing to invest time or capital into you utilized these donated resources to generate a positive return. More than anything once you get going in life, never forget where you came from. I have been incredibly bless and I look forward to the next adventure in this journey of life. Thank You to everyone who has touched my life thus far!
