Erica the Intern

I was fortunate to have to opportunity to intern for East Carolina University's Women's Basketball team. Interning is not the most glamourous job to have but it is one of the most important and rewarding experiences that anyone can ever go through. Through my internship I had the opportunity to learn from some talented people. I also was able to challenge myself in ways I never had before. It felt great to work with a group of people who trusted me and who turned many of my side projects into tangible items. One of my highlights was our Potluck because it gave me insight into how every person and department must work together to complete while updating our databases. With this event I learned what being a team player is truly all about and I am proud to say that it came natural to me. I had to go through a few obstacles in order to obtain this internship, but I would not change anything because it taught me how to go after something you really want. It also showed me that there are good people out there who want to see you succeed.
