An Alumni of The East Carolina University with two masters degrees (MBA & MS - Sport Management), and a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Management. In 2020 I obtained a certificate in Business Analytics. My next goal is to earn a Ph.D. (Business Marketing) and join the world of academia.
I have found the jobs positions I am most interested in involve Business Analytics, Finance, & Sport Management. My current career goal is to discover and embark on a career path which allows me to exercise my problem solving skills, while creating new practices and scopes of knowledge.

Who Am I
Background
My name is Erica. I was born and raised in Sanford, North Carolina. Sanford is a small town 30 minutes away from Raleigh. My first big dream was to be able to go to college. That dream came true twice. I am a humble person therefore I do not like to talk about myself too much, but I have been told often that I am a good study. I pride myself on the quality of work that I produce. I have adopted a quote, "I am the excellence of execution," from the professional wrestler Bret Hart, to describe my dedication to quality performance and work.
That said no one is perfect and as I become older I am less afraid to make mistakes. I have learned that while all risks should be examined, the art is not in avoiding mistakes, but in the recovery. Some missteps are necessary to shape us into the people we become in order to be prepared for the next challenge life throws our way.
Professional Goals
1) Learn as much about the industry as I can - I now read as many journal publications as I can as well as follow many leaders in the industry on social media. In my spare time I also like reading bios about staff members of teams in the industry.
2) Get out and network with more people - During the past few years, I have improved so much in terms of talking to and making connections with new people. It would never hurt to become even better at it.
3) Gain more experience and cultivate a repository of advanced technical skills.
