PROJECTS

Being a college student for seven years, afforded me the opportunity to complete many assignments and projects. In this section I have samples of the graduate level work that I have completed. As I continue with my career, I will update this section with completed professional projects. These samples are given to provide a snapshot of the work that I am consistently capable of producing. Each item is almost like a piece of art to me. I am extremely proud of my work and am exited about the pieces I will create in the future.

Sport Ethnography Presentation

As a part of my Contemporary Sport class we were tasked with completing an ethnography project. For this assignment I observed various collegiate sporting events (2 male, 2 female, 1 co-ed) and reported back on my interesting findings captured during my observation sessions.

Collaborative Marketing Plan

For my Sport Marketing class my classmates & I formed a group to assist our athletic department with the promotion of one of their annual family events, during its spring PigSkin Pigout festivities. One of our tasks was to create a marketing plan for the event and this is what we came together to create.

Marketing Research Project

The last major assignment we had in my Marketing Management course was to complete a marketing research project. As a person with a keen interest in the world of professional sport I chose to center on the NBA and one of its teams, the Charlotte Hornets. Specifically I examined the unique rebranding challenge the organization faced when it reinstated the Hornets name & trademarks.

Case Study Response

This one of many responses to the case study assignments were given in my Administration of Sport course. I included this sample because it gives into into my problem solving and reasoning skills as well as my ability to effectively communicate.

Payoff Table

One of the most tedious and challenging courses an ECU MBA takes is Management Science. Those who are extremely gutsy take it with the famed Dr. Kenneth MacLeod. Then there are those who are crazy like myself and complete this course over a condensed summer session. In this class we learned the science behind decision making and how to weigh the many decision possiblities we must make, against one another.
